You certainly deserve your name.

It is rude to notice this sort of thing and then give recommendations to someone you aren’t close enough to tell (mostly everybody in the universe).

If her top was so short that skin showed, that is something you could say – you might not realize it, but when you bend over, sit down, reach up, whatever, your back shows.

I would also do it at the very end of the day so the person has a way to get out of there and not be miserable while everybody else could be watching.

I’m surprised you didn’t say that if she bought her pants in the XXXL department, the pants would be loose enough that she wouldn’t have a muffin top.

I wonder if your name will come to mind when she’s trying to pick someone for a project that requires working closely with someone who is sensitive or if she will be willing to write a letter of recommendation.

She should be happy that you were honest enough to tell her what others were thinking.

Also as your boss she needs to set an example, and wearing a belly shirt to work is not appropriate.
