What’s something to sandwich between ripstop nylon for biker impact armor?

I want armor pads on 2-piece crash clothing presently on sewing machine.
Former conveyor belting for mined ore three-eighth inch thick was first thought.
I have free access to a lot of that. Are not interested in aftermarket fabric.
Own enough Fieldsheer and Icon. Feel inclined to get more into Road Warrior.

Try looking into carbon fiber, the material your thinking of is too hard. If you fall, the material you are using alone will bruise you up underneath the clothing. I used to drag race motorcycles and we used carbon fiber and Kevlar blended plates under leather suits. Carbon fiber and Kevlar are great for this use do to the fact that the fibers can bend like cloth and still retain the strength needed to protect the person behind the fiber when needed.
