Oh: no, I can’t wear pants here: they are uncomfortable with the chastity belt all Italian women have to wear until they are 99.

do Italian women have to wear skirt or it’ s allowed the use of pants? Is it rude wearing pants and t shirt?
A letter to mom?
Dear mum,
I am writing you this note to say that I haven’t been honest to you lately.
I have a boyfriend, his name is Dragon and he lives in a trailer in the woods he wears biker clothes and deals Ecstasy.
I am moving in with him and I am four months pregnant.
His friends will come over all the time so I can get a little frisky with them.
We will make a living out of growing drugs and selling them to Dragons friends as are both already drug addicts, we will live a life of drugs beer and all the sex.
Wish us luck
Katie
P.S.
I am at the neighbors house, all of the above was a lie I just wanted to let you know there are worse things in life than my report card which is in the top drawer.
Nice !!!! I wonder if anyone will recopy this!!! I know I would have hehe….
Motorcycle Gear is SEXY (and squids are NOT)!!
I never ask this, but please rate and such to spread the word.
Since leaving Missouri (where helmets are required by law), I have been appalled at the number of riders I see without proper gear. I would say at least 80% of riders I’ve seen here in the Chicago area do not have helmets, or any protective gear for that matter.
What continues to surprise me is how many of these guys think they actually look good when they ride in just a t-shirt and jeans. Or no shirt. Or a helmet, with no shirt, and shorts. Why bother with the helmet?
ANYway, I’m truly hoping this video convinces some of these squids to wear protective gear. If it helps save even one life, I’d be elated.
Iroquois had a video where he mentioned guys who just want to “look cool” on their bikes. I think these guys fall largely in the same category..
Remember: Gear doesn’t make you a nerd. It’ll save your life, your skin, AND get you that girl’s number.

Posted under Motorcycle ShirtsA Christmas Thank You From Tom Bachur Motorcycle Column Writer

A Present to My Readers! (AP Photo/Scholastic Inc.)
On May 12, 2009, I published my first article as your Baltimore Motorcycle Travel Examiner: “Hey Baltimore, Welcome to the Ride!” Since then, I’ve published 81 other articles that have been viewed over 75,000 times!
Writing this column has been a wonderful experience for me. I’ve corresponded with a lot of good people and I’ve made quite a few new friends. John and Monica Tartufo introduced me to Steve Wallach and ETA Travel’s Motorcycle Cruises. These good folks inspired an entire series of articles, including “Motorcycle Cruises, Take Your Motorcycle on a Caribbean Cruise” and “ETA Travel and the History of Motorcycle Cruising.” A fellow RiderCoach told me about the Ephrata First Sunday Breakfast, where I met Merv Hill, a great guy and the President of the Ephrata American Legion Post #429. Grant Parsons, editor of American Motorcyclist Magazine and his assistant, Nora McDonald read, enjoyed and reprinted my daughter Lauren’s article “Freedom, You’re the Passenger” in their magazine. I will forever be grateful for the confidence they helped instill in Lauren! Michael D’Elia of BikerHiWay and Vance Lane of Time Rider, Shtuff for Bikers have been instrumental in providing test products for several articles. I’ve also had a lot of support from other Motorcycle Examiner’s, including: Mark Poesch, the DC Motorcycle Travel Examiner, Patty Davis, the National Motorcycle Travel Examiner and Ken Bingenheimer, the National Motorcycle Examiner.
However, mostly, I’d like to thank you, my readers. Without you, my work would have no purpose. Your feedback, comments and loyalty truly make my efforts worthwhile.
As a small token of my appreciation, I’ve teamed with Vance Lane of the “Time Rider, Shtuff for Bikers” website to provide my readers 15% off the price of any products on the Time Rider website! This discount is valid for the remainder of 2009. To receive the discount, use the Coupon Code “BaltoMCTvlr” when checking out on the Time Rider site. Thanks to Vance for his generosity and thanks again to you, my loyal readers.
I hope everyone has a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!

new motorcycle rider what gear I need? whats difference?
So i just took the plunge and decided to start riding a motorcycle (i know i know, thanks… keep the appluase down, please…).
and have some basic general dumb q’s as far as gear goes.
looks like for startes im going to need a helmet, a nice riding jacket, and some gloves. did i miss anything?
my questions are :
for the jacket, is leather or mesh better? which ones get hotter? are they both windproof? waterproof?
i dont plan on doing a lot of free way driving just yet mostly around town and little trips through canyon areas…
so leather or mesh? armor or no armor? and last of all, any good suggestions on where to shop online for stuff like this?
gloves – any good glove recomendations? i want some i can wear that will keep my hands warm, but nothing too bulky and maybe something ventilated so my hands are warm but not sweating…
and a helmet…. i went and tried some on at a store, i tried a large, then x large, then xxl… couldnt really tell the difference, is there some kind of a size guideline when it comes to picking a helmet? and any tips or receomendations on brands or places to shop would be awesome!
thanks for the input guys, lemme know your recomendations and ill go clothes shopping asap!
there are no stores where i lives around here that sell any decent biker clothes so online recomendations appreciated!
also if anyone wants to recomend any type of shoes that are good to wear riding along with pants as well those are other things I will look into…
Wish there was an easy answer to your question, but there is not-heres what I mean.
Helmets-each manufactor sizes things differently. What is XL to one manufactor is a large to another and a XXL to another. The only true way to buy a helmet is to try various brands on and try to get one that fits snug, but not too tight. Now to further complicate this, is that if you are going full face (recommended) the padding needs time to "break in" so what is really snug when brand new will loosen up to just the right amount of snug once broke in.
Boots-some where everyday boots on their bike, some wear sneakers, some wear specialty boots, me I kinda have proper boots for when I am out and about away from home, but mostly when i am out puttzin locally it is just in sneakers-I know, I know, I was a former MSF instructor so believe me I know the risk. If you do decide on boots, I would say get the water PROOF ones not just water resistant. I myself have been out in rain so bad, while traveling by bike, that it took 4 days for my water resistant boots to dry. (about 150)
Pants-Most wear jeans, some wear work clothes, some wear motorcycle specific
Jackets-are you gonna ride all year? If so a 3 season jacket may be more to your liking. Cordura fabric, body armor, with zip out liners. About $225 It will hold you over thru some cold riding-but not much below 30 degrees. Leather is hot and while I personally have a leather jacket or 2 (about $90)I prefer to use the mesh summer jacket. (about 90.)
Gloves-I personally like the gel padded palm made of a knit fabric with vent holes on the fingers. I use these gloves more than any other. About $35 I also have a pair of heated gloves for winter riding that plug into the jacket liner and heated pants that I have.

You are very thoughtful! I think he will really appreciate all you are doing for him.
If he likes sweaters, a sweater would prolly be welcome. He might like a pair of slippers, let’s see.
A photo of you in an nice frame
I always appreciate a new Teddy (Bear, for those who have something else in mind)..
If into sports, then something related to his favourite team
I always mention buying something he wanted for Christmas or a birthday and didn’t get. That might make a very nice option as well.

those fingerless gloves biker people wear? * im 15 and have a pair*?
i also have a black net bandana froma biker clothing store called STEVES LEATHER SHOP. is the biker style on a teen ager un atractive? and do teen agers dress biker? * the leather clothes and gloves and all* i dont wear the pants just the gloves and bandanas but am i the only teen ager dressing this?
If I’m gonna wear gloves, I wear them for protection, not for looks.
Sunglasses, I wear for looks as well as for protection.
Leather, I wear it all the time, and I have several plus bike jacket & I am not a biker. Bandanas, only to protect my hair from riding.
Teens, any age, it’s a matter of choice, whatever you like, and it’s not because they’re in or hot or not.

Beginning Road Biker?
I’m planing to go with a group across the country in a year and a half, I want to start now. I’ve done mountain bikes my whole life, I need to know as many of the ins and outs as I can learn down to clothes and tools needed on top of the bike and all. Please Help
You can buy all the clothes, tools, and equipment you will need. What you can’t buy is the training to be able to ride that far every day. You need to start training now with long distance rides with a fully loaded bike.
